Aleppo Soap
Aleppo Soap is the oldest soap recipe in the world. Originating from Aleppo, Syria, the soap is made of olive oil and laurel oil.
Used by Queen Zenobia of Syria and Queen Cleopatra of Egypt more than 2000 years ago, the Aleppo soap recipe was known the Greeks and Romans, and then brought to Europe by the Crusaders.
Olive oil is boiled for three days and mixed with water and lye. Laurel oil is then added to give the soap its cleansing, antimicrobial, antifungal and anti-itching properties.
Aleppo soap is free of perfumes, solvents, dyes or synthetic products.
It is suitable for the hands, face and body and will moisturize and nourish you skin.
